The elixir of life, (Arabic: \u0625\u0643\u0633\u064a\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u064a\u0627\u0629\u200e, Exeer Al-\u1e25ayat), also known as the elixir of immortality and sometimes equated with the philosopher’s stone, is a legendary potion, or drink, that grants the drinker eternal life or eternal youth.<\/p>\n
Many practitioners of alchemy pursued it.The elixir of life was also said to be able to create life.<\/p>\n
It is related to the myths of Enoch, Thoth, and Hermes Trismegistus, all of whom in various tales are said to have drunk “the white drops” (liquid gold) and thus achieved immortality.<\/p>\n
It is also associated with the Qur’an’s Al Khidr (‘The Green Man’), and is mentioned in one of the Nag Hammadi texts.<\/p>\n
